We dress up…………..!! Live music in the Corporate area often reflects an aim by the client to provide memorable experiences for their guests by incorporating themes into their functions. This means the clients are looking for a band to tailor the repertoire so that the theme of the night is enhanced through the songs played. As a result of regular client demand, Nearly Famous morphed into the Twang Gang and Calypso Crew variations which have been popular and successful. As well as those offerings, Nearly Famous has been engaged in other musical styles to complement the client’s themes for the night. Accordingly, the band has performed for a tourist convention as a space band, for Alcoa Australia as a working class band, as a prison band “Chain Gang” at Fremantle Prison, as a Beatle tribute act at Burswood and as a dedicated 1950’s Rock n Roll Band. Other themed events have required the band to dress up 1960’s style, in Arab dress, as a Bastille Day Band and as an Italian Band. To comply with such requirements requires an extensive repertoire and Nearly Famous will often learn additional appropriate songs to ensure that the client’s theme is incorporated as far as possible into the evening’s performance. Of course, the great advantage is, that should the guests incline towards a more mainstream musical style, who better to deliver that repertoire of songs but Nearly Famous…. |
