Since The Twang Gang burst on to the Perth Country music scene in late 1990’s its foot tapping style and presentation has proven popular. Devotees of country music have been treated to a wide selection of contemporary and classic country music songs ranging from the dreamy sounds of Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard and the Eagles to the Boot scooting dynamics of Brooks & Dunn, Eddie Rabitt, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, George Strait, The Mavericks and numerous other country artists.
The Twang Gang (aka Nearly Famous), have held country residencies at some of Perth’s premier Country music venues including the Raffles Hotel and Pontoon’s country music sessions as well as performing for country music themes for clients as diverse as Homestay Village, Queens Park, Vauxhall Car Club and the British Car Club.
Wearing authentic country hats and outfits, they highlight country music's reputation as the biggest selling style of music in the world. It's fun, it's clean and most of all it warms the soul from Nashville to Tamworth and beyond. Like they say... "If it ain't country, it ain't music!".
Notwithstanding the computer technology to help them produce their songs, The Twang Gang's sound is refreshingly live. The on-stage format boasts live guitar and keyboards. Add to this quality vocals combined with smooth and sweet harmonies, and you've got a musical delight.
Playing real country music combined with ambience and professionalism, The Twang Gang set toes tapping with great country classics.
