NEARLY FAMOUS are a popular Perth Duo and Trio who have performed throughout Western Australia since 1992. The band has acquired a solid reputation for its hard working and professional approach.
Original members ALISON MITCHELL (singer/keyboard) and WIDO PEPPINCK (singer/guitarist) are considered to be amongst Perth's finest musicians and provide an amazingly wide repertoire of songs ranging from soft ballads and dinner music to full on dance music from the 1950's to the present.

The strong duo performance is enhanced by the addition of either ROWAN STOKES with world class guitar playing skills or JULIAN PEPPINCK with his energetic and dynamic on-stage personality when the band performs as a trio. Both the duo format and trio format provide exceptional vocals with tight harmony sounds and amazing versatility.

Nearly Famous are currently resident on Friday nights in Pontoons Restaurant at Mandurah's premier Hotel, The Atrium Resort, and currently performs as “The Twang Gang” on Sundays in the same venue as part of the “Boots and All” Country music show.  During the last eighteen months, the band has held residencies at Perth's Burswood Casino Resort and Hyatt Hotel as well as performing at Corporate functions for clients such as Woodside, Perth Zoo, Jaguar Car Club, City of Swan, British Car Club,  etc. In the last few months, Nearly Famous has featured as a support act for Australian  pop icon, Normie Rowe and for the 1960's supergroup  "The Searchers" in separate performances at the Mandurah Conference Centre. In August 2012, Nearly Famous are scheduled as a support act for another 1960’s iconic band, Herman’s Hermits.
